Physician and physical therapy visits, including orthopedic and sports medicine care, are covered by most insurance plans except for Medicaid and Medicaid HMOs. Coverage for scheduled visits with a nutritionist or chiropractor are determined by your insurance plan and medical necessity.
Additional costs may incur from specialized lab tests, some of which may be covered by insurance, and supplements. We also recommend that you talk with our patient financial advocate to review your coverage and estimated cost of treatment prior to your appointment.
Do you currently possess a health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA)? Consider using these ‘pre-tax’ accounts to lower your costs for specific AIM clinical services as qualified medical expenses. These accounts can also be utilized for regenerative medicine procedures such as stem cell therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), prolotherapy and others.
Most insurance plans and carriers do not cover stem cell therapy and regenerative medicine treatments. The cost varies depending on the therapy and extent of the procedural treatment. Stem cell therapy, for instance, is not covered by your insurance company. This is an out-of-pocket expense.
